(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Help i am after some advice please for my son. he's 14 and wants to start making some montages, so i dug my old hauppage usb pvr2 unit out of the garage bought some rca splitters and got him all set up to now record an analogue signal ( am not buying any hd capture units in case its just a 5 minute whim ) anyways he has recorded his first movie at 12mb a second so the quality is pretty good, now the help i need is what software would be suitable for him to do his editing?
i have a friend in a university and i have access to numerous bits of software for example sony vegas movie studio, however this looks like its more for the advanced user and not the beginer.
all suggestions greatfully recieved.

thanks

Sony Vegas has to be the best & easiest software to start to learn to edit with. I guess Windows movie maker might be easier, but you'll have better results w/ Vegas. Happy

You can also mess around with Adobe After Effects as well to create some unique features as well as intros.

ok first use divx converter to get the 12mb to like 500kb per second and quality stays same, and use Sony Vegas 9 pro

windows movie maker WILL accept .avi files(its what i use) you then drag the completed file into the storyview(after creating a file on pinnacle 12) and simply choose to publish the file. this converts it into a .wmm file which is easier to upload to youtube !
