Yeah, I can understand it can get out of Hidden that way, but can you bypass the level by doing it?

It is possible to bypass all enemy resistance but you'll have to be careful because there are patches of radiation that you need to cross and if you stay in them for too long you'll die. If you start getting that radiation shake either back out of that area to an area that you know is safe, or try and maneuver to the OUTSIDE of the map.
