HDMI cable provides HD.

RCA cables do not.

HDMI=Expensive but much better picture.
It's actually pretty straight forward.

Also, there's a good chance your TV doesn't support full HD (1080p) so you should double check on that.

MW2 is only 720p regardless, it simply upscales to 1080. No picture quality difference.

Okay if you do upgrade to HDMI you will NEVER go back to RCA cables, lol. You'll be amazed at the picture quality if you have a 1080p television. Like pickle said though make sure your TV has HDMI input(s). I hope you get to upgrade, it'll be the best investment you've ever made in your gaming experience.

Well I don't know about quality on PS3, but I have an HDMI cable attached to my Xbox and the first time I seen the picture I was amazed. Invest in a HDMI cable, totally worth it!

Get an HDMI, I got one at Christmas and you will notice straight away how clear it looks. Also, the little popups you get when someone sends you a message are smaller but sharper.
Its basically one of the things better about PS3 than XBOX (the graphics capabilities).
