Heres the funny part. The model had mroe range than the spas single but the time it took to do the little *** animation made it slow and if you missed your first shot you were dead.

Now the akimbo's were fast accurate and deadly. With about 15ft more range than the spas 12 which is a level one gun. I must aggree the combination of the two 1887's was overpowered.

What i think should have been done was slowing the animation between down by about 50% so if you shoot both and miss, you will die.

Some people will say "omg too much range too much accuracy"
Infinity ward could have also fixed this. Make it so at a certain point in there range that they start to lose damage drasticly so if you want a decent range kill you must press down both triggers.

The old models had 35damage per bullet at any range x 8 bullets is an overkill I think this would work nicely though.

25ft or less = 35dmg
30-40ft 25 damage per bullet
50ft+ 10dmg per bullet.

If you have ever used the models you will know at range if you had fmj you would have that cool effect where the bullets hit the floor in front of and behind your target.
This proves that not every bulltet hits. Out of 8 bullets 5 might hit at 50ft+ 5bulltets at 10 damage each=50dmg Even if all the bullets hit the person will not die unless you fire both guns.

This solution would have kept the models lovers (me) and the haters happy because the models would not be the beasts they once were but if you had a decent amount of skill you could use them.
And if anyone is wondering what i meant by slowing the *** time down i meant this.

That my friends is beyond pathetic.
If no one remembers the spas 12 is a level one gun which is why no one complains. Because if a guy with the spas is annoying you you can just say "oh i'll just equip that"

But the models were a level 67 gun so anyone under the level eg, just prstiged would complain!
If the models were a level one gun no one would have complained because any one could equip it!

The reason that the spas-12 is too powerful now is because people like you keep complaining about a gun. The guns were balanced BEFORE you guys started to complain. By changing one gun, it completly messed up the balance. SO THIS IS NOT IW'S FAULT. IT IS THE PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT COMPLAIN'S FAULT.

Wow. It's you guys who ruin the game. Models are balanced now. Simple.

So play the game fairly or don't play the game at all. The SPAS is NOT better than the pre patched Models, they don't have the cheap akimbo.
