Seth's Ultimate Domination Guide!
This is a Ultimate Guide on the game mode Domination. This thread includes tatics and pictures. Please use this Table of Contents.
For those who don't know, Domination is a game-type in MW2 where there are three stationary flags spread evenly around the map and each team fights to capture and keep the flags to gain points. A team gets 1 point every three seconds for every flag captured. The first team to 200 points wins the match. (NOT MINE)
The more people on a flag, the faster you capture it. This is important in the beginning when you get your first flag because you want to get the first point on the board. Care needs to be taken later in the match as one well placed grenade will take all of you out. (NOT MINE)

[multipage=Button Layout]
Button Layout
- Default Layout
- Tactical Layout
- Sensitivity 5-7
Its JUST an opinion to use Tactical in Domination. Some players prefer to use Default, just because that's what most players use. I prefer Tactical, because I am a dropshoter. If you do not know how to dropshot here is a video. [ame=

Sensitivity
MUST be at least 5 or above! If you have a low sensitivity you are prone to being killing, because you cannot move as quickly.
[multipage=Classes]
Classes
These are a few good classes for Domination. Each class is for a different tactic, whether you prefer the defensive tactic or rushing or even just a all around good setup!
All Around Good Setup
- Scar-H / FMJ
- Spas-12 /Grip
- Semtecs
- Stuns
- Perk 1- Scavenger Pro
- Perk 2- StoppingPower Pro
- Perk 3- Ninja
This is a all around good setup. The Scar does a good amount of damage along with Scavenger to hold a great amount of ammo. The StoppingPower Pro on the Scar make it have a good amount of damage so your not sitting around shooting a enemies and not killing them. Also if you get in close quarters you have your Spas to make sure you don't get destroyed. This class is even a good class in other game modes as well.
Rushing Setup
- P90 / FMJ
- Akimbo Rangers
- Semtecs
- Flash Grenades
- Perk 1- Marathon Pro
- Perk 2- LightWeight Pro
- Perk 3- Ninja or Commando Pro
This class is a good for stacking up points on your opponent while still packing some good damage. With this class you can run around the map faster than most of the players. So you can capture flags before the enemies get there. Always make sure you have Akimbo Rangers. They don't look like they do much, but at a close quarter combat they do deadly damage.
Defensive Class
- Tar 21 / NoobTube or Extended Mags
- Spas-12 / Grip
- Semtecs
- Flash Grenades
- Perk 1- Sleight Of Hand Pro
- Perk 2- StoppingPower Pro - A MUST!
- Perk 3- Steady Aim Pro
This class is good if your trying to defend a flag. This class is also good in TeamDeath. Most people don't know, but the Tar 21 does a LOT of damage with StoppingPower Pro. If you shoot your enemy for just 1-2 seconds they are dead. So when enemy's are coming up on you, you can just shoot them all without having to die or have backup. I recommend trying this class out. I use this class all the time on Domination and other gamemodes! I also think this gun is better then the ACR in my opinion.
[multipage=Rushing Tactics]
Rushing Tactics
Rushing is a good idea in Domination. The whole point of the gamemode is to rack up points and Dominate the team.
Always run around straight to the flags. This is will give you an advantage right from the get go in points. Make sure you run around non-stop capturing the flags you loose and taking flags from the opponent. As long as you continue to do this for awhile in the game you are 9/10 guaranteed a win.
Make sure you don't just in the same spots over and over. You have to mix it up or they will be there camping to kill you. There is always a kid that is going to try to kill you every time.
Remember that you have FLASH GRENADES. Don't let them go to waste. I always use them and throw them away from the flags to distract my opponents.
Lastly, It is always good to rush in the beginning of a game and use defense towards the end, because if you rush the whole game, you wont ever keep a flag and loose. :mad:
[multipage= Defensive Tactics]
Defensive Tactics
When you are playing Defensive Tactics in Domination, you should most likely be winning. The only time to do this is when you are in the lead and want to keep control of your flags or when your friends/team mates are rushing and they want you to keep the flags.
You should be hiding behind something or on top of something where most people don't look. If your out in the open you are going to get killed, which every COD player knows.
Make sure you have an assault rifle, so when people are far away you can pick them off like nothing =D. The only thing left to do now is camp and wait for your score to get to 200 so you can laugh at the other team in the lobby.
You can even Spawn Camp after you have captured 2 flags and everytime they spawn at their 1 flag you kill them. That way you get points (because they can't take your flags), and kills because they have no where to go. Make sure it just isn't you doing this by yourself. That's a good way to get picked off by the enemy!
[multipage=In a Party]
In a Party With Friends
If your in a party with your friends it's a lot easier to win a Domination match. Make sure there are 6 of you, so you don't have some noobs coming into the match and just giving the other team free kills and not paying attention to the flags. Everyone hates someone that goes into Domination just to get a nuke or just for kills, and that's the truth!
Split up into two parties before the match. Each party is responsible for one flag. Each party needs to focus on their flag and stay patient. Don't go out looking for kills until to have a huge lead. Let the enemy come to you and kill them when they are running towards you.
Also, capture flags A and B or C and B. It is not a good idea to hold two flags on opposite sides of the map because the enemy will spawn in the middle, and it's hard to get to your other flag to defend it quickly.

Thanks for reading this guide. I'll be sure to make more. I give thanks to Schwalm for letting me do the same idea as him, and telling me how to make a Table Of Contents. I also give thanks to everyone on NGU that read this! I hope you enjoyed this!
