When Robert bowling tweeted a few months back that we were going to be stimulated by the new maps coming to MW2 we were all (Myself Included) notably excited!

We were promised variety and new ways to play old maps.

What we actually got was:

-Bailout: An "overrun apartment complex"
-Storm: An industrial park “in the middle of a rainy downpour, tense thunderstorm”
-Salvage: An "abandoned junkyard”, with a “snowy terrain”
-Crash: Urban map with a downed heli, one of the classics from MW
-Overgrown: its “wide open, great for snipers”, the other map from Modern Warfare.

Now where as we can all appreciate the older maps and welcome the new ones for 1200 MS points was it really worth it?

I mean it would have taken the development team a matter of weeks to knock this out.

So 3 months pass and we are once again faced with more DLC in the form of the "Resurgence Map Pack" Available June 3rd 2010.

Xbox Lives’ Major Nelson had Infinity Ward "creative strategist" Robert Bowling on his podcast recently to talk about the upcoming Resurgence Map Pack for Modern Warfare 2. Set to release on June 3 on Xbox Live, the pack will be priced at 1200 ($15) -- the same as its predecessor, the Stimulus Pack. Resurgence will feature maps old and new, including two Call of Duty 4 maps and three new locations:

* Vacant -- the wide open Russian office complex from CoD4
* Strike -- the urban town surrounded by hotels from CoD4
* Carnival -- an abandoned carnival area with a Ferris wheel, fun house and other attractions
* Trailer Park -- full of "super tight corridors" and featuring a pool ("Mobile Estates," Bowling calls it)
* Fuel -- a "sniper haven" based in and around an oil refinery

Bowling says that the new maps will be tied to specific playlists, just like the Stimulus maps. With the Resurgence collection, however, it's possible that all of the maps will be available in every playlist, as long as "demand is high." And, as with the previous pack, the new maps will be exclusive to Xbox 360 for a short time before coming to PC and PS3.

Again 2 old maps and three they've more then likely had from the start and held back to charge an over the top amount. Don’t get me wrong I will probably end up getting them just so when I’m playing with my friends on XBL I don’t want them moaning at me when they have to skip a map I don’t have. One of my friends does this and its annoying (You know who you are: D)

What do you guys think is 1200 MSP or £11.99p worth the price??

I'll be purchasing, but I'd like to see all of those improvements in the poll. I think the packs are overpriced but I'll pay regardless. It's a good game, I like the game and I'd like to make the most out of my experience.
