Well, COD4 and COD6 are not the same, some similarities yes.

If you wanted an insight into what the coding looks like head over to the xbox 360 jtag section. all the patch_mp.ff codes there work regardless of which platform.

Granted you are talking about 2 distinctly different "hacking" methods, but the coding is the same.
