If somehow we find a way to decrypt or modify the mw2 patch files, then we can use a ps3 proxy on the computer to install the modded patch on your ps3 and have modded lobbies everywhere, please i want to create a lobby like hunter and share it with everyone :p

Yes thats right, and some have it working as we now have infection Lobbies from people Like Hunter128 and The Unknown.

yea but is there any way possible to decrypt a .pkg file?
i tried opening it in mac and linux but didnt work, is there some kind of tool where you can modify the contents of the .pkg files for ps3.

Yep its hard, youre better off decrypting a ps3 backup...

Its almost impossible mate as its a packaged installer similar exe but signed by sony!! PKG are general wrappers so the contents and encryption can be different in every one apple, sony, linux etc. unless you know the type of encryption within the PKG its pretty much impossible and even if decrypted and unpacked repacking it keeping it same size and getting it to install same as patch would also be very hard???? not sayin it cannot be done but every step would be a massive challenge and require a vast knowledge of reverse engineering and coding etc, if anyone does it they deserve it

I have thought of this to, sadly that wouldnt work as the ps3 could probably tell its been altered as it is a tremendously smart system, and sony wouldnt let that happen anyway, if they did most games would of been hacked like this by now dont you think?

you don't decrypt the .PKG, leave that alone

you have to decrypt the Full HDD using HDD Studio as an whole

even if you managed to decrypt the .PKG, edit the coding, how would you encrypt? I have looked everywhere, there is no such program

you would be able to get it, trust me. just gotta be really smart. But if u wanna hack, the way to go is with SATA through hdd. But like most ppl know, u need a fw lower then 3.30 to decrypt
