Will bypassing a patch get me banned?

I haven't heard of anyone getting banned for it yet. I have and plenty of people on this forum have bypassed and still not banned.

The best way to bypass is using the RFOM method, or by using the patch blocker and no you can not get banned for doing this

wasnt worried was just a bit concerned about how 10 minutes i returned to unpatched version i got signed out of ps3 and i was unable to sign in for a good hour.
