(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); OK its Dm430 here and i had something hit me ... A posible way of editing the mw2 patch_mp.ff. while looking at an old decrypted bin file i said to my self why are we trying to extract the the file every thing is right here? In theory you would just modify the actualy content you are viewing then fix the checksum and heads... you would have a modified file. Also have you tried any data recovery software to extract the file rather then decompressing it?

Also if you want to extract it copy from the header to the footer of the patch. :P

Well i hope this help i have not tried it but wanted to see what you think.

Haxor!
LOL. Hilarious that I come on and see this post. I was just playing around with some old decrypted data and was pulling out the patch_mp.ff and opening with ffviewer no problem. No compression or encryption once you extract it from the bin.

Pretty straightforward to pull the patch_mp out of the bin and edit actually.

The part that I'm stuck on is encrypting the drive again. I go through all the steps of encrypting the drive but after the final step of restoring the merged image I don't end up with anything special.

I'm expecting to see the MW2 data already in the Game Data Utility but alas there is nothing.

I must be missing something here but I'm not sure what it is.

Anyone have some insight?

Then sorry to say if you don't feel like it, or can't be bothered to try. Then stop trying to hack it... All it seems is like your trying to get other people to do all the work, then you try to reap the benefits.
