(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok, it's an hard work but we have to start in order to obtain some progress, so here's the place where to discuss/share our consideration on the PKG filestructure.

I attached a picture of the pkg header of Flow USA, so we can refer to some real offsets when discussing about it.

I signed the first, easy and noticeable structure:

1) Blue (offsets 1C - 1F): Global pkg file length:
-- It's sure, total file lenght = 131.017.248 bytes so 7CF2A20

2) Green (offset 2C - 2F and F0 - F3): contained file length.
-- It's a supposition, contained file lenght should be the pkg file lenght - the pkg header lenght, so could be 131.016.832 bytes so 7CF2880

3) Red (offsets 30 - 5F): Code name of the Demo/Game:
-- It's sure, there are 12 double words reserved.

Please, share your findings here so together we could find something useful to understand those interesting files

If you notice something or I made a mistake please tell me.

Oh and here is the picture I meant to include... yes I did fail.

I love smart girls. ♥
Why did you copy and paste this?
This isn't for patches anyway, this is for full games.

Why give him -REP for? when he is just trying to help this site? sure it was posted in PS3News, but not here.

And just he stole the post, he should give credits, just don't "THANK" him for that, but -REP just because he didn't give credits, at least he is trying to help in NGU Cool Man (aka Tustin)

Just saying Winky Winky

If he would have gave credit to him I would not have been so negative. I don't think that the site's best interest was in mind.

Yea someone sent this to me through email and he said it was his but I didn't check to see if it was on ps3news.com which it is.

But anyways Credit does go to NDT and looks like I'm gonna have to whoop up on my friend Smoking-Ace-Diaz

But here is the link to the actual thread...

And he told me to post so I did. And I thought It was quite helpful since Sony .PKGs are the same as the ones patches are stored in.
