It happens when the match making puts to many people in the game.

not sure if it happens on mw2 but it happens on cod4 if someone joins as a round ends they get to chose wat team to join

Couple of options;

Someone's found a way to switch teams like we could on Cod4 with the file editing. I doubt it though.

It's just a glitch with matchmaking as someone's already said.

I've seen this happen on Cod4 a few times.

Its just a glitch that has to do with a party of two joining and the game gets confused or something, this has happened quite a bit to me and my buddy.

Same thing happened to me yesterday, I was in regular Search though.

Even seen it when the game ends instead of say 4 to 3 it ended as 5 to 3

happened to me in cod 4. i was in the 5 players team and i killed everyone and i got a helicopter in SnD!!!

Happened to me once when I and my party entered a game but the next round it was fixed.

happens randomly with random numbers most common 7-5 but ive been in games where it was 9-3
