Stop downloading teh HD pr0nz as you play.

Serious answer: Make sure your NAT type is open. Is your internet connection OK when on your computer, and only bad when you're on Xbox Live/PSN?

If you are using Wireless, then make sure there is no electrical interference from phones or outside storms. Make sure no computers are using any bandwidth(Uploading or Downloading or being in a website with high activity). It could be you have had bad luck and are just playing with crappy hosts too.

if you want to improve it you can use an ethernet cable so you have wired connection, otherwise you should put your ps3 in the DMZ, just google 'put ps3 in dmz' and follow a guide.

lol i tried playing on my internet and my screen was chopping everywhere, i had to actually join a friend's session to be able to play because mw2 would not connect me to any games for over 20 minutes when i clicked find game, and sometimes since my ps3 is not hooked up the the modem with a ethernet cable so i kind of made it use the wireless feature but my signal strenght at best on the ps3 is 17% using it, so sometimes i cannot even find the signal and connect with the wifi, so i sometimes cannot even go online on my ps3 other times i lose the signal and it disconnects me

but that sucks for you man, i can just feel your pain lol

alright man, i was thinking that, about using an ethernet cable to improve my signal strength, but the thing with satelitte internet is it has to hit the satellite all the way in space so i am always behind by a second

also i will check out your dmz thing, thanks
