(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This is Cod4, but this works with MW2, Cod5 too! But you need HDD Decryption with FW under 3.30

1st step:
IW added an additional file header to the ff-files (12-bytes: 49 57 66 66 75 31 30 30 05 00 00 00) and you need to remove it first before you can decompress the file.

You must login or register to view this content.

2nd step:

After removing the header, your file should begin with 78, the header for Zlib with max./best compression. Store the file (don’t overwrite your sourcefiles, always create backupfiles first) in the folder where the ff_iw.exe is located. Open or create the decompress.bat or anything like that, use the command “ff_iw –d NAME_OF_THE_FF-SOURCEFILE NAME_OF_THE_NEW_GENERATED_FILE” in it and run the bat-file.

3rd step:
Now you will find a decompressed file in your folder. You can open this file with the Hex-Editor and do with it whatever you want. You can rip content, edit content or just check the files included for an overview.

You must login or register to view this content.

4th step:
When you’ve edited the content and want to test something you only need to compress the file again. Use or generate a compress.bat or anything like that, use the command “ff_iw –k NAME_OF_THE_EDITED_SOURCEFILE NAME_OF_THE_NEW_GENERATED_FF-FILE 9” in it and run the bat-file. Don't forget the value 9 for best compression!

5th step:
Don’t forget the last step, add the additional IW-header to the new ff-file…

Hints:

In front of the files you will find the length of the file. 4 byte in little endian (reverse order). It often makes ripping of the files easier when you use the length.

1. I think Hunter used some of Unk0wn's tools and programs.
2. It could involve a USB Flash drive judging by Hunter's earlier errors.
3.Question: Where are .gsc files located?

Well generally .GSC files are within the patch_mp.ff itself. You normally decompress the patch_mp.ff, then you will see more compressed data followed my little headers which are in plain text. For example, you would see something like '0000 _missions.gsc 0000 COMPRESSED DATA COMPRESSED DATA' etc. That GSC would then need to be decompressed individually along with all the other GSC's. On a PC, the GSC's are located in folders, for example you would have a folder 'patches' > 'patch_mp' > "<<Individual GSC's located here>>"

I think thats correct, not 100% sure on the PC's version.

EDIT : Just read the post above, I post when people do the HDD method because its the MOST COMMON method everybody think's work's. Here's what you need to think about... It's been what 3 month's and nobody has got off the idea of it and thought of something more viable and simpler AND nobody has actually done anything from it?

I'm starting to think I can't help you... everything I do to try simply moves you back two step's.

btw, I've had people say this to me. "My dad works for PSN, Give me lvl 70 or I wil get him to ban you." xD

HDD Decryption works, doesn't it. Unless Boxxy lies.

So far we know "injection" but that is more of a riddle than a hint.

I do know you made your own program (from the PMs we've sent back and forth. We know how to make patches, all we need is the step or two to get the patch/codes onto the PS3. That's the only missing step.

Also, one question. Does it require more than one PS3?

I believe its Packet Injection

And Unkown seriusly, What have you "pushed" us with?
Nothing except saying HDD method is wrong and WOW a riddle: Injection

How about actually giving us Some Usefull hints that can help us?
Its been 3 months and Not everybody is as smart and have that much time as You Not Happy or Sad
Its a Community, SHARE.
Sony knows about the hacks and I beleive you'd Be #1 Idiot If they patch it Without somebody else figured it out.
