(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); :beer:This Guide is all about the WA2000. It is a semi-automatic sniper rifle which is used in mw2. This guide will tell you abit about the gun and some tips on using it in the game. I have wrote this guide myself and wrote it on my own experinces, but also used sources to help me. This took me a while to write so +rep would be aprecciated. Thanks

[multipage=Introduction]
The Wealther Arms 2000 is a semi-automatic bullpup sniper rifle. It was produced by a company called Carl Walther GmbH Sportwaffen.
The Sniper rifle was designed in the 1970's. However the company stopped making them in 1988 and only 176 of them were made. The rifle was designed so it could hold a standard length barrel while keeping the length of the gun the size of conventional rifle.

Here are some statistics:
Fire Mode: Semi-Automatic
Reload Speed: 3.4 Seconds (4.3 from empty)
Magazine Size: 6 (Extended Mags: 12)
Damage: 70 (50 with a Silencer)
Damage Multipliers:
1.Head: x1.5
2.Neck: x1.5
3.Chest: x1.5
4.Stomach: x1.0
5.Limbs: x1.0

[multipage=Wepon Explained]
The WA2000 functions similar to the M21 EBR and Barrett 50. Cal. since they are both semi automatic rifles.
Like the Barrett and Intervention, the WA2000 has the same multipliers against the head, neck and upper body, however, the WA2000 does not receive a damage multiplier against the stomach, but benefits from having a lower recoil than both of those rifles. This is why i like using the WA2000.

Targeting
As i said before the WA2000 has much less recoil than the barret and even the intervention. This makes follow up shots a breeze, And picking out new targets easier. The scope on the WA2000 is quite large in mw2 with a smiley face on the lense which is very off putting for me. :confused:
The Acog however improves visibility around the scope when aiming down the sight, it also helps free up some of the peripheral vision to the right. However, the sway on the scope cannot be stopped which makes long shots incredibly difficult.You must login or register to view this content.
The Thermal Scope provides a great bonus to the WA2000, it helps clear the vision on the right of the rifle as well as the added bonus of enemies without Cold-Blooded glowing white while aiming down the scope.You must login or register to view this content.
[multipage=Techniques]
The WA2000 should be used the same as any other sniper rifle, staying behind your team and providing accurate sniper fire, since most of your shots will have to hit the upper body to kill, it's recommended to hard-scope with the WA2000, playing defensively. It should be noted that Stopping Power will provide no bonus to this rifle since there is no multiplier against the stomach; and head, neck, and upper torso shots will still be a one-shot kill without Stopping Power.

However, if you take a silencer, the WA2000's damage will permanently be reduced from 70 to 50, and Stopping Power will be needed to reverse the 50 back up to 70.

Recommended Class
WA2000 w/ Thermal Scope
PP2000 w/ Red-dot sight -OR- USP w/ Tactical Knife
Claymore
Stun grenades
1.Sleight of Hand Pro
2.Cold-Blooded Pro
3.Ninja Pro
The Thermal scope, as stated earlier, will free up alot of the vision that before was obscured by the rifle, and allows a wider field of vision. The PP2000 with Red dot is a reliable side-arm at close and even medium range. Sleight of Hand Pro reduces the WA2000 Aim-down-sight time, which is invaluable for snipers as this allows rapid target acquisition from out-of-scope to quickly aiming down the scope.

Cold-Blooded will help prevent other Thermal snipers from spotting you easily, and prevents UAVs and other killstreaks from tracking you. Ninja Pro will prevent you from showing up on Heartbeat Sensors, as well as making your footsteps silent. So you can find a position with a large field of fire and be relatively unhindered.

In game modes where there will be a lot more people using Cold-blooded (such as Hardcore or Search and Destroy) it may be better to use an attachment such as FMJ or a Heartbeat Sensor.

[multipage=The Verdict]
WA2000: 7/10
Although it isn't one of the most used sniper rifles in the game, the WA2000 is still a solid sniper rifle, featuring a larger magazine than the Intervention, similar multipliers as well as less recoil than the Barrett or Intervention as well. The M21 EBR outclasses it in sheer spammablility, but with it's superior multipliers it is the ultimate sniper's sniper. Use it as intended and it works great and lets you use a perk other than stopping power.
[multipage=Thanks.]
Thanks for reading, hope you liked it. +rep would help as this took me over an hour Smile
