Sorry very noob to this, wasn't using mw2 section much.....

PSJailBreak allows you to run unsigned code on PS3 - kinda like jtag on xbox. basically you use the PSJB to install homebrew stuff. To hack mw2 using it, you install the PS3 FTP Server package, use a ftp client on pc and then switch a modded patch_mp.ff for the legit one on your ps3. Look in the MW2 Hacking section - there is many tutorials

ahh well there is many a way. The official PS Jailbreak device can easily be bought BUT it costs about £130. However there is a PSGroove and PSFreedom (google them) version where you can install it on to microcontrollers (which are hard to find but cost only about £20 - £30) Also there are versions which have been ported to work on other devices like android phones, iphones/itouches, ti 84+ calculators. Have a look on PSGroove and PSFreedoms website and you'll find all info u need.
