Am seriously considering making some lobbys and believe I have everything in place to do so.

Anyone who can guenuinely help me will get an invite, and if I get it up and running I shall consider doing a few free lobbys for the community however if you spam this thread with PSN's to add, that will certainly not happen.

So... I have a slim running 3.42 however am swapping it with a mate for a while who has a normal PS3 and hasnt used it for a few months (therfore it wont be on 3.42)

Say it is on 3.40, what will I need to do in order to get onto 3.41 and how will I ensure that I dont update to 3.42 on his.

Then I have a iPod touch 1st gen I could use, however am considering buying a Ti calculator ? For the jailbreak.

One big question I am wondering, once I have added the modded (GodlyModz maybe?) patch onto the 3.41, then update to 3.42 will I not ever be able to play around with the patch and change it ? Stuck with taht patch on.

And how long will it last ? Everytime I turn my PS3 on will the modded patch just be there waiting to be used ?

You have to do this yourself, there is plenty of information on how to do everything on this forum and many others..

I have read and read through the threads, just thought it would be nice if i had some reassurance on a few f my questions from those who have allready succeded. I do not want to mess up, thats all

As it stands, you will not be able to modify the patch once you update to firmware 3.42. You may be able to modify the patch in the near future if someone figures out how to hack or bypass firmware 3.42.



It will last for as long as you keep the patch. It will not be altered or removed if you turn off your PS3.

Question 1 Answer: I believe you have to be running 3.41 to install the jailbreak...please correct me if I am wrong. I also am unsure on how to make it so it does not force update you to 3.42 automatically. Sorry

Question 2 Answer: I would use the touch, I haven't heard much about a Ti calculator

Question 3: Once you update to 3.42 with the patch installed, you will not be able to play with the patch. If you choose to upload GodlyModz patch, that is what you will be stuck with.

Question 4: The patch will last until a new patch (1.12) from IW is released. At that point maybe people will just bypass and not preform the update and host lobbies on bypassed servers, once again, correct me if I am wrong.

And don't worry about inviting me, I am doing this to help, I am not anywhere near my ps3 at the moment.

Thank you, thats great help, just been given the ipod i could use but its 8gb so im assuming it isnt 1st gen, and wont allow a jailbreak to be installed

I have not tested this but this is the best I could find.

Basically the iPod is too new and is not compatible with PS freedom...

Would the people that have done it say the TI84+ calculator is the easyest method ?

If so I really need to buy/borrow one of someone in the UK, obviously it would entitle unlimited usage of my lobbys and for all your freinds
