As long as you don't update your 3.41 firmware you'll be able to jailbreak your ps3.
I don't think this will screw up the challenge lobbies.

If IW makes a new patch, then it will overwrite all modded patches, and then the people who are hosting now are screwed, I think.

As long as they DONT delete their modded patch and BYPASS they can still host with their current patch

(wich is already on your Playstation, so you dont bypass that one )
patch and dont download IW's new patch.

but you can only use proxy bypass because if you use RFOM, the patch doesn't load (that's why you can't play new maps when bypassing on RFOM, while you don't have to delete the data)

& this is a pretty IMPORTANT detail i think :p


EDIT: while thinking about this.. okay they will be able to host CL, but they keep signing out every 2 minutes, so they "lock" the lobby.. therefor nobody will be able to join :p

You can easily bypass the MW2 patch update with the Anon proxy server. Which doesn't time out at all, you can stay logged into PSN forever.

why wouldn't it ? PSN doesn't receive any reply from your ps3 (cause you block it), so it signs you out..

and if you bypass to host, the ppl that want to join have to bypass as well (correct me if wrong) so would the titles&emblems stick after they updated to (probably) 1.12

I think once IW decides to release a patch, all the ppl that are hosting now are genuinely SCREWED :p they'd still be able to host, but nobody would join, cause nothing would stick (i think)

When people boost bypassed on cage match everything sticks.

And no, Anon is not supposed to sign you out, you stay logged in
as long as you want.
