I can answer 2 of your 3 questions. I cannot answer the third question because I haven't been near my ps3 in a while and won't be for a while.

1: Yes you can
2:No it will not be ruined. If it was you would see tons of people going nuts that their ps3 was destroyed by PSJailbreak.

As for your third question....I have been reading that you can get banned as soon as your 3.41 console goes online, but people are updating their ps3s to 3.42 once they have chosen their patch. PLEASE REMEMBER ONCE YOU UPDATE YOU LOSE PSJB.

The only way you can do any of this is if your ps3 is on FW 3.41.
