You need a new ps3 with FW3.41 or lower to perform the Jailbreak.

If you have a ps3 below 3.41 you need to update it to 3.41 on the Sony website via USB.

im pretty sure the answers no but can i jb my ps3 on 3.50 & still b able 2 host lobbies? just making sure bc if it does on 3.50 ill b doing free lobbies /facepalm ..l wat happens if i jb on 3.50

Nothing will happen, it just wount work.

You have to buy a new ps3 get it on 3.41 and then transfer the patch and use data transfer utility to your other update ps3 and this way you can change the patch and edit it and so on. If you update your 3.41 you can not JB it again.

You can't JB on 3.50. Its impossible.

If you try it nothing will happen.

Yes you only need one. The requirement for that one is that it needs to be on 3.41 to perform the jailbreak though.
