1. Whats the easiest way to get the patch onto PS3?

2. Is there anyway to just download a file and send it through the wireless network via proxy or something?

I need help im totally mis-understanding how to do the patch modding and what not.

I dont exactly get what your trieng to say. But you got to jailbreak your ps3 that is on FW 3.41. you can not import the patch via wireless/proxy. You use the FTP Server on your jailbroken ps3, start it go onto filezilla enter the information, transfer the patch onto your HDD on your PS3. Sorry its not a full tutorial because there is already tons out there. Just giving you a brief one. Hope i helped in some way.

Well you know how we get updates on PS3 for MW2 and it says theres an update? Well how come theres no way to mod a patch and make it come up like that? And just install it? Might be a stupid question but who knows maybe its possible through a proxy or something like that.

Another thing I had in mind... Is it possible to go to Playstation.com and download the latest software update and download it then edit it with a program. Then transfer it to the PS3 via USB Flash Drive? I really dont know much at all about hacking besides simple game saves and COD4 Hacking. Im just trying to help figure stuff out or give ideas to the people that could try to do something with this.
