you need the patch to be the same region as on your disk , so eg. Mine is bles683 Smile

if your in the US it will be blus *** whatever if you try and put a bles patch on a blus disk you will get black screen Happy

well somethings wrong with the patch. if u have an xbox u probably put a ps3 patch on it or u have a ps3 and put a xbox patch on it..

Black screens can mean a number of things
if you have a uk disc, make sure you download a uk patch_mp.ff to inject your gsc's into (if you're using elitemossys converter)

It could be bad very bad coding, your using the wrong patch region, or bad re compressing.

syntax error = coding error
black screen = compression problem or wrong patch_mp.ff region (thats editable easily)
