You need .NETFramework 4

Try to run as administrator, and try using mossy's converter to convert a ps3 patch to xbox, then try to open it

It MUST be an XBOX patch

Dude if your patch's file extension is a .rar /facepalm

It needs to be a .ff and you probably need the .NET Framework 4 (ITheFallenI ~ stated above)
And it needs to be a Xbox patch.. if its a ps3 use either BucN's or EliteMossy's patch converters.

lmao you don't drag a patch.rar file you need to extract the patch out using winar then go to FF viewer and open up the patch i put my patchs on the desktop easy to find

I'm using ff viewer legacy. it works when i convert the patch to xbox, but when i convert it back to ps3 and go into a private match. in the middle of the loading screen it freezes and sais script compile error. all I did on the codes is change the colors of the menu. and then i converted it back.

Then that means that the code you put in is wrong all tho idk how you can get colors wrong you must have changed something else if it gives you a unknown error its cause you told it to look for something that it isnt named
