2. When im done editing my patch where does my edited patch go
3. then when i convert my edited xbox patch back to ps3 where does that patch go?

make a folder called "app", then put the converter and all the files with it in there, and it should go into there

Depends on what software you are using. It probably says somewhere in your software whether it overwrites it, or the save location. If all else fails, save as and choose your locations.
