Sorry in advance if it's in the wrong section. I don't believe this has been posted yet, but if it has, feel free to close this thread.

Basically, what's going to happen, is a new MW2 patch will be released, erasing the hacks from people's systems. (Better late than never, I guess)

The patch has already been written (this has been confirmed by fourzerotwo), they're just in the final stages of tweaking it.

Apart from the fact that it will be erasing the hacks, the other main issues it will be addressing will be the Fuel rock glitch, slightly decreasing Commando range, nerfing the Tar slightly, and possibly fixing the spawns a bit. To quote fourzerotwo, "OMA will not be tweaked. We've fought that fight and lost."

A quick bio on who fourzerotwo is, for those of you who don't know:

We should expect to see this patch out within the next few weeks.. but who knows, if the suddenness of 3.56 OFW was anything to go by, it could be by the end of the week

Couldn't you just make a backup of your ps3 onto your pen drive with the modded patch on then update then back it up Then you should have your modded patch on it...Just an idea don't flame

I hope you know that a new patch won't stop hackers. All they have to do is once again replace it with a modded one.

This makes me laugh.... mw3 has been announced if im not mistaking and they are working on an almost dead game.... shit the people that still play this game are hackers or play because they can hack.. LOL people like the unknown, derektrotter, and several others are smart... ill give it 3 months before it gets cracked again

i only use custom patches to mess around in private match not derank people but yeah it sucks to get deranked.
