(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I am making a patch using dconnor's mod menu and DT super patch, i made one successfully last night, but now when i try to make one it says :script compile error. i can use any other patch and i use syntax checker on ff viewer but it wont work. even when i dont use the super patch it wont work. please help

You do know you must compress zip the patch and change extension to .iwd right? That might be the reason it won't work on your PC

ok so after i finish editing it in ff viewer, i compress it and rename it to patch_mp.iwd?

i tried this and it worked but where do i put the file? before i converted and put it in through the modloader but none of the stuff shows up when i do this, EX: i put in a message when you spawn and a mod menu and neither show up.

In the Modern Warfare Folder make a folder called mods then inside that make another folder, then name that whatever then put it in that folder

ok i tried this and unfortunately it still didnt work these are the things i did: 1st try i took my patch_mp.ff compressed it changed that compressed file from .zip to .iwd and moved it to aiw client(mw2 folder)>mods>new folder> and it didnt work. then i tried converting the xbox .ff to to a pc (.dat) then compress + change to .iwd and it still didnt work. am i doing something wrong or what?

The First way you did was correct. I just forgot to tell you something. In the AlterIW Console (the other window that pops up other than the MW2) you must go first in Private Match and then in the console type

    fs_game mods/FolderName ; map_restart

btw it makes it easier if you make the MW2 window a minimized one so you can see your computer aswell as the game.

hey thanks dude but it didnt work, but i finally found out went wrong. everything works except the mod menu code so if you would know how to fix that then lemme know. i tried 2 or 3 tutorials on how to do that but they werent for the version of aiw im on. this is the tut i used:

which means i downgraded the version. but thx for your help and if you can help me with the mod menu code (dconnors) let me know and if you need the code tell me and ill post it, idk if i need a pc version or what.
