1: a Brain
2: Two PS3's
- PS3 on 3.41 (Jailbroken) or 3.55 (w/ CFW)
- PS3 on latest FW (3.60)
3: Transfer Cable

HOW TO HOST CL ON 1.12 [BYPASS]

FOR THIS TO WORK YOU MUST HAVE A 1.11 CL PATCH ALREAY ON YOUR PS

1) Delete As Much As You Can Off Your PS3 (Makes It Alot Quicker) (DO NOT DELETE THE MW2 PATCH)
2) Insert A USB Stick/Flash Drive Into The Ps3
3) Goto Settings>>System Settings>>Back Up Utility>>Back Up
4) Back Up Your Ps3
5) Put USB Into Computer
6) Drag PS3 Folder Into A Safe Place
7) On MW2 Install 1.12 Patch
(Optional) You May Want To Back This Up If You Want To Go On 1.12 Or You Can Just Install It

IF YOU WANT TO HOST CL AGAIN

1) Drag PS3 Folder Back Onto USB
2) Insert USB Stick/Flash Drive Into The PS3
3) Goto Setting>>System Settings>>Back Up Utility>>Restore
4) Select Your Device
5) Restore It
6) Bypass MW2 Using Elite Mossy's Patch Blocker
7) HOST MW2 CL AGAIN!!

HOW TO USE PATCH BLOCKER

1) Open It On Your PC
2) Take Note Of The Numbers (192.168.*.**)
3) Go On Your PS3
4) Goto Settings>>Network Settings>>Internet Connection Settings>>Wired/Wireless>>Custom
5) Keep Every Thing As It Is Until You Get To Proxy
6) Click Use
7) Type The Code From The Patch Blocker (192.168.*.**)
Save Connection Settings
9) Start Up MW2 Without Updating

TO REMOVE THE PROXY

1) Go On Your PS3
2) Goto Settings>>Network Settings>>Internet Connection Settings>>Wired/Wireless>>Custom
3) Keep Every Thing As It Is Until You Get To Proxy
4) Click Do Not Use
5) Save Connection Settings
NOW WITH 2 PS3s

1) Have a PS3 in a lower FW like 3.41 or 3.55(recommended for noobs) for 3.41 you need a JB tool btw

2) Get your modded patch on your lower FW ps3

3) If your lower FW ps3 mw2 patch its modded then your good

4) Go to System settings

5) Then go to data transfer settings

6)Follow the steps for data transfer

7)When your done your ps3 that its on 3.60 will have a modded patch for mw2

I just got a ps3 on 3.55 cfw. If I transfer a 1.11 patch to that ps3 using blackbox, I can then do a data transfer to my 3.66 ps3 even though I have 1.12 on it and host lobbies bypassed?

only way to host CL is on 1.11 servers. if someone knows a way to host 1.11 patches on 1.12 servers id like to hear it. as far as i know you cant host 1.11 patches on 1.12 servers. if the 1.11 patches were modded some how then maybe. if some knows let me know cause i would like to know if its even possible.

Sorry if this is a noob question, but how can I keep a patch if I update my cfw ps3 to 3.7?

You don't even need an update on your Ps3 to put the patch on. Just go put Mw2 (do not update to 1.12 or anything, a patch in not required to do this) in your Jailbroken Ps3 and start up a single player match and turn the game off. Go to your blackbox w/ ftp. Find your Mw2 game folder. find this folder called USDIR and drop the patch_mp.ff right in that and bingo that's all you have to do. You don't already need a patch in that to put a patch in so yep. If the folder has nothing in it don't be afraid to put the patch in. :p That's what I do haha
