Then I Could Use My Old PS3's Hard Drive For Normal Play And The PS3 With Elite Mossy's Patch For Modded Lobbies?

you should just get a 1.12 patch

you cant do that. when you use a patch blocker the other people need to be using it if you want to play. and even if this did work. you would keep signing out because the patch blocker signs you out after about 2 minutes.

Your new PS3 will not be on 3.55 Firmware. I purchased a new PS3 not long ago, well it was quite a while ago, but it wasn't on the most updated Firmware... It was below v3.41! Maybe if you just find the .PUP for v3.41 Firmware and put that on the PS3.... Then buy a Jailbreak Key for v3.41.. That's your best way to host Challenge Lobbies... Problem is you won't be able to change your patch unless you have a V3.41 and an fully Updated Playable online PS3!
