I would try it, but I've done it three times, and each time, the modded patch didn't work, and it resulted in me losing some data. +5 rep for a GOOD answer. Also, the 3.55 ps3's blu-ray drive doesn't work, so I can't host on that one.

set your 3.55 ps3 into safe mode and choose option 4. make sure its not corrupted. if it is the system will fixx it automatically. so the same for the 2.61 then the data transfer should go smoothly.also make sure that theres no more than 8 accounts on each playstation.

Sorry, but this entire reply doesn't make sense to me. Why am I going into safe mode? What am I making sure isn't corrupted? Also, why do I have to make sure there isn't more than 8 accounts?

ok you go into dafe mode to fix the corrupted data. if it is corrupted it will tel you when you chose option 4. after you do that, make sure theres no more than 8 on each ps3 because a single playstation can hold a maximum of 16 accounts
