Do a barrel roll!
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I've tried using one of the 1.12 patches twice now and both times I started up the game (with two different cfg patches) it told me it was 1.11 and needed to update (since for some reason I can no longer get anyone to join when I bypass on 1.11). Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks

Are you sure you have all the necessary files in the PKG? You may have the patch_mp.ff but there are other required files in the same folder. Try updating it, then transferring the patch.

I hope I helped you.

The patch itself doesn't tell the console what version the files are, rather the PARAM.SFO file handles version number, and the content id.

If you were to have a 1.11 SFO with a 1.12 patch you would be prompted to update, but if you were to have a 1.12 SFO with a 1.11 patch you will not be prompted to update.

This method is only good for a bypass, since the default_mp.self determines which playlist you are on, thus you are still unable to host challenge lobbies unless the SELF is cracked.

By the way, the Mw2 SELF is secured with NPDRM encryption, which makes it almost impossible to crack.

I think I'm done with it anyways. Last time I did it with a different HD, but still had to redownload everything (pain in the ass). And I'm going to sell the 3.41 before it YLODs again. Thank you guys for the help though, +rep. ?
