You will need:

PS3 HDD Studio for HDD transfers - You must login or register to view this content.

How to connect your PS3 to PC - Amazon.com: Sabrent USB-DSC5 Serial ATA or IDE 2.5-/3.5-Inch to USB 2.0 Cable Converter Adapter…

PS3 Patch Blocker - You must login or register to view this content.

2 PS3's. One old firmware and one new firmware.

Tutorial:

1. Transfer your PS3 MW2 GAMEDATA from your HDD to your PC by using the SATA cables.

2. Decrypt the patch using PS3 HDD Studio.

3. Transfer the other PS3 GAMEDATA from the old ps3 to the PS and also decrypt that.

4. Now open up server.cfg and add all the hacks you want. (I SUPPOSE THERE MIGHT BE A FASTFILE?)

5. Use PS3 Patch Blocker. After You do that Transfer You Patch back over to PS3 using the SATA cables again.

6. Load up mw2 and go to a private match. ENJOY! ( works public but you need host )

I HAVE NOT TESTED THIS! I TAKE NO CREDIT FOR THIS IS NOT MY TUTORIAL! JUST POSTING TO SEE IF ANYONE CAN TRY THIS.

I've came across this before. Seems a bit unethical. Who would attempt this for a MW2 1.12 patch? They're not that epic.

You're right about 1.12 patches but if someone can find a way to do this, then it would be great since most people just care about mw2 patches/lobbies.

Yea way easier that way! I am going to fix my ylod ps3 which is on firmware 3.41 and then data transfer to my new ps3. I found this "method" by searching online and was thinking that this may have been the way that hunter128 and the Unk0wn did it before the jailbreak.

hunter 128 and the Unk0wn pluged their ps3 hdd into the pc's through sata and decrypted the hdd security to gain access to the hdd files then copy their patches over thats how they did it there use to be a tutorial of how they did it dont know where it is know though lol Smile

your close, but with what you posted will not work

when you find the patch in the decrypted .bin file, it will be seperated into 2 sectors. you will also need to know how to fix the checksum.

btw it takes forever...

pretty much a big pain in the ass, but it does work
