Ok guys. I am currently at work, on lunch, and I feel this is the best thread to let out every option I have available for each one of your guys patches. If I forget to add someones in there, don't be mad, and groan. It's probably because I used it a long time ago.
Please note, NONE of these patch makers had to release anything. They do it for teh rep, or the continious growth of NGU, and of course, they do it because they want to make all of us happy by learning, and or improving
Here's the breakdown of all of the patches, from the best 1.12 patch makers I've come in contact with. And no, the numbering isn't to signify that those are 1-whatever the best. It's just numbered to help you out with what.
lTheFallenl's patches. His are epic, of course. He released his version 3 first, I do believe, and I tried it, and loved it. Then he released his version 4? I wound up getting the next version, because he said he was dissapointed in my comments by saying it's the same as his previous. I believe I had his version 5, not really 100% sure. All in all, the
BEST thing about his patch, was the aim-assist. It's the best I've ever had, and nothing so far has touched it. Thanks to lTheFallenl for providing us those patches.
Next is
Blackstorm's patch. I do believe he was one of the FIRST ones to release a patch after 1.12 came out, and for that, I am greatful. In my personal experience, I've never had the chance to play with his. But I'm sure it's just as good as anybody elses', without all of the shit we don't need for, or care for.
Thirdly are
DKCY Plums patches. I've had the pleasure of using this once, or twice, when no updates were being brought about, so I thought what the hell. Might as well try another one. He's just released a new patch today, with the moddel models, that I have yet to try out, and apparently, people are raving about those guns. From personal experience, his patch was clean. Had a lot of options in there, and it wasn't too buggy. I used his for a while, before I decided to data transfer yet again. Good job, Plum. Your patch was beast as well.
And what comes fourth?
Flame's patches. Flames patch....was gorgeous. I remember using his for a while too, and fapping at the same time while I played MW2. His was unique, in his own way, which of course, is what makes them all unique. It wasn't too 'spammy' with his name, and would be perfect for someone looking for a shit load of options.
And 5th?
Raz's patches. He made me a custom one for me one night, and I used it for the longest. Actually, I think I had it on the longest. When I needed help, he was there to help me with noob friendly tuts via private messages. And for that, I am thankful. I still couldn't get past the Fast File Editor. :FU: Lol, but he made me a patch with my name spammed in it. As I bitched about in the past, I told people to stop editing patches, and releasing them with the same shit, only their name spammed in it. So I respected that, and didn't release it. But thank you Raz, for your epic edit, and helping me through all of it. :y:
6th:
Virus He made me a patch as well, and it was pretty awesome. It was pretty basic, not much shit involved. Just the simple stuff. It was an edit, and to be honest, it was just another special edit. That was the only patch I tried, so if he released more, I couldn't tell you. But from the patch he made me, I loved it just as much as the others. Thanks Virus for creating me my own patch. You were the first one to make me an edit, by the way.
7th is
DeadlyModz patch. Yeah, I still dislike the guy, but his patch, apparently to A LOT of people has the best aim-assist. To me, no. lTheFallenl still outweighs that. His patch was nice to have when i wanted to do a private lobby with XP. It was organized, about like the rest, but his was the first patch I used to host XP lobbies. 'Nuff said.
8th would have to be
Jono's patches. Sorry guys, but personally, his are the best 1.12 patches available. I've used his, and used his, and used his until my PS3 YLOD. Not really, but it's still pretty amazing. I'd recommend people using this first. I learned just today, as a matter of fact, that he releases things without other coders approval, to give to us. Now to some, that's a great thing! But to the respectful ones, that's not cool. I've got his patch with the models on right now, and I don't plan on switching any time soon. Great job, Jono. Your patches seem to never flaw out with me.
And lastly, I'd throw in
Chronic Mods patch. I said before hand his was the VERY FIRST patch I tried. It was back when PSN went down, so I played alone a lot. :fa: But once I seen his video on Youtube, I missed MW2 modding, and the shit I could do, so it was HIS patch, for the sole purpose of me buying another PS3 on 3.55 CFW. His patch was pretty basic as well. Along with his Dark Side patch. The Dark Side patch WASN'T basic, I'm sorry, but it was epic. I recommend that patch as well to any one looking forward to modding the ending days of MW2.
So this was my evaluation of all patches I have personally tested, or knew about, or heard about. To anyone wanting to try, I suggest reading these, and picking out the ones you respect the most. I couldn't really go into detail with any of them, because well....they're all pretty much the same. There are some hidden codes, apparently still out there, and a few handful of people know about them. Will they release later? Probably. Do they do it intentionally to piss every MW2 modder off? No. They do it because they're proud of their work, and want to be selfish and keep it to themselves. But being selfish is a good thing, in my opinion, because as hard as they worked to get there, they deserve it.
To lTheFallenl? I'll never find the Godmode, so I give up.
To Blackstorm? You helped make this possible. All of it.
To everyone else out there that have no credits in this post? My sig explains why. I'm ****ing epic. =D
