1. I cant do all these super jump, glitch, cl's etc without a jailbroken ps3?

2. As I am not a programmer I will find modding difficult or impossible?

3. I cant mod mw2 as my ps3 is a new one with the latest firmware 1.7 i believe?

4. In order to even begin trying all these fun mods I will need 2 playstations one with old firmware on?

5. I cant jailbreak my ps3 with firmware v1.7?

to summise

6. If I want to go down the modding route then I may be able to do so by endlessley trolling youtube and here buying an older ps3, learning some code, and spending a long time on it?



7. Is there a simple way to just install someone elses mod, on a new ps3, and muck around in private matches?

1. if u only have 1 ps3 with the latest firmware(3.70) Only way is if you get Infected but u have limits

2.No One is born a programmer u can find tutorials here explaining how things work

3. If you have Two ps3's one if firmware(3.55) You can make your patch and transfer the patch from (3.55) to the updated ps3 (3.70) by doing data transfer

4. I think i answered it with ur question #3 u need a ps3 with 3.55 n 3.70

5. Ps3 3.70 can be JailBroken yet maybe in future who knows?

6. I Cant really answer how much time u wanna waste with this......

7. U can use peoples patches yes but then again u need 2 ps3s ...

So the simplest way is to have an older playstation and transfer the required files from it to the newer one I assume replacing the game files with patched ones?

Ok well I actually do want to waste time doing this I make electronic music so fiddling with setting and twisting things up is right up my street.

1. Does the 3.55 ps3 need to be jailbroken?

2. I assume its a steep learning curve even to do the easy way? (which i am more than willing to do)

3.55 Yes it has to be Jailbroken the easiest way for lobbies is
Geohot's its simple to do google this n then all u do is transfer a modded patch to ur 3.70 mw2 patch n then u good to go

Thanks man... I downloaded a patch to make me super jump on special ops which i used a USB stick to put on my PS3.... It worked!! However now mw2 freezes in between online matches and kinda locks up my controller even though the ps button functions still work. It was either the patch that did it or my new lag switch which I am not using anymore (it was just an experiement tbh)

Think its the patch? I removed it and replaced old one but still same problem.
