But wat if i transferred the official 1.12 patch from my 3.70 ps3 to my 3.55, pr would that update my 3.55 ps3????

u should b a little more discriptive when u say ur ps3 blu ray drive doesnt work...cause 1 time i thoght my blu ray drive didnt work but ill i had 2 do was format the system and all my games and discs worked fine...if formatting doesnt work then just download 1.12 patch on ur jb ps3 and put the patch on...u dont need 2 test it or anything

all you have to do is once its on CFW you make a PKG with a modded patch on it ill make some for you if youd like. this is what i have to do because my blue ray drive broke

You can't data transfer from a higher firmware to a lower firmware so just download the patch using the above link and install it on the 3.55
