infections only stay "on your ps3" untill you quit till XMB unless you're talking about jailbreaking your console and putting a patch on.

Are there any ways to just use a USB and have a simple Private Match hack? I see SO MANY of those private match mp_bind Terminal stuff now on PS3, how do I get that?

The only thing i seen out on usb for MW2 was the jump hack in campaign and (that was old)you can still find that on youtube.You need edit your infection patch with your clan or name just look at other patch with it in it.
