I used to get that all the time, when you convert from xbox back to ps3 the file size changes and gives you the black screen.
I carnt use bucshots converter because im on 64bit.
Here the ones i have been using to edit the names for perks and explosive bullets.
BucN's ps3 fast file editor - can be found in melo patches, tuts and tools, you can dowload it on here.
And Ps3 fastFile editor Xp - type in on google.
These have been working for every ps3 patch lately so check them out XD

Don't convert from PS3, and then back to PS3. That always makes for a problem. Instead of making a new patch with the same stuff, just use BuCn's PS3 FastFile Editor.

If your patch_mp.ff size is something different then 2.27 kb or 2.28 when its in its ps3 form then you Cant convert it back to xbox with something that automatically converts it. you would have to either convert it from scratch or just convert to xbox and and take the code out and put it into a non corrupted patch_mp.ff
