Post: Help with COD Patch
10-22-2011, 09:05 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Running slim w/ 3.55 Keamw CFW PS3.

Trying to get a patch to work on the CFW PS3 for testing to ensure that it works and then I will move it over to the OFW PS3. This is what I did:

1- Downloaded the 1.12 update for COD Modern Warfare 2
2- First I tried FTP the patch over
3- I also tried Awesome File Manager to move the COD patch over
4- Used various patches in the NextGen Patch Section

Most patch don't work and one crashed. Is there something I am missing? Thanks for the guidance

Firstly, you want to make sure you're using the right region because otherwise you'll get a black screen. Secondly, most menus require you to do something specific to activate the menu. This could be as simple as dpad up or as complex as pressing a combination of buttons. Check your mw2 directory and see what it says (e.g. bles00683)
Also make sure you're using a 1.12 patch and not 1.11. There's a noticeable difference as 1.11 is actually cool

BLUS30377 is in the directory. Many of the patches posted are for both BLES and BLUS and for the 1.12 patch.

Yes, thanks

I renamed the patch I just downloaded to patch_mp.ff

Do I need to delete anything from the CFW before data transfer to OFW PS3. I would like to use the patch in a public lobby.

If you found it working on CFW, then just transfer it to your official firmware PS3. You don't have to worry about deleting anything Winky Winky
