There has been a lot of confusion about the special editions for PC and now Robert Bowling has confirmed there will be no Hardened or Prestige edition for PC...

US, July 29, 2009 - Modern Warfare 2 PC buyers will just have to stick with the regular edition it seems.

Back when Infinity Ward first revealed both the Harden and Prestige edition's for Modern Warfare 2, there was some confusion about which platforms they would be available for.

But now it's clear neither edition will be available for PC. Infinity Ward's Community Manager Robert Bowling told IGN saying: "There will be no PC version of either collectors' editions."

PC gamers didn't want the cool night vision goggles anyway, right?
Consoles
If you're planning on buying a prestige edition you should decide quickly. In reaction to a forum user that stated there will be enough left-overs at GameStop Robert stated the following:

I wouldn't count on that.

We've already been asked by GameStop to produce more due to demand. We refused of course, because these are ACTUALLY limited. Much much less than the Halo 3 Legendary Edition.

Each one will be individually numbered.
