(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); lets say we left mp/basemaps.arena un-moddified, could we make a new gsc/cfg string and turn it into a completely new .arena string.

could we then have a command executeing the new .arena string, but the only diff is the new .arena string will be modded so we can turn it on and off by simply executing?

It won't work, and pretty sure there is no such thing as an .arena string :p

What? No. basemaps_mp.arena is the only .arena you can mod, as there are no others. This isn't GSC scripting anymore.

No its not gsc scripting anymore, i'm pretty sure they didn't patch any .arena mods, and also thats why you would create your own NEW one and being in a menu that is in CFG, you could then use the "exec" command so that you can "exec" a modded .arena [whole new name the one you created], and then if you don't won't a modded .arena, alls you would have to do is re- "exec" the regular mp/basemaps.arena

But it reads directly from basemaps_mp.arena. You couldn't re-route that without modifying on-disc contents. It's coded into the game itself, not the patch. And since this is read as soon as multiplayer loads up, you couldn't possibly do it.
