i've been searching around the past couple of days and i've been really curious how i could get the mod menu on my PS3.

there's video's out there saying how to do it all via usb stick, and i admit i tried doing it and failed!

what im posting this thread for (sorry if it's in the wrong section :S ) is i want the mod menu on my FAT PS3. on 4.00 FW

What do i need to do to it?

how can i get the things i need to do on it?

how much would it generally cost me?

all i want is a straight answer what to do..

You need to have A CFW or Jailbroken PS3 to get a Mod Menu for Multiplayer.
But you can get a Spec-Ops mods with just a USB

1 question - to jail break the PS3 you need it flashed / E3 flashed right?:s

you need the e3 flasher to downgrade your ps3 if you dont have another to data transfer but one you have a e3 flasher and have downgraded you might aswell stay on 3.55 untill you find a patch to your liking or make your own.

That's if you want to downgrade.

because im on 4.00 fw and all i want to get is the mw2 mod menu :L

For the spec-ops one you don't need to downgrade, but if you want the super sexy mods online in multiplayer, then you need to downgrade to at least 3.55.

thats not possible without soldering correct?
