If you mean the jailbroken one cant read disks then no it wouldnt interfere because you do not need it to read disks you just need your 4.11 ps3 to read disks of course to host.

Actually it would interfere with it because the reason it probally won't read discs is because the blu-ray doesn't work , and you need a blu-ray drive to run homebrew. I know this because i own a 3.55cfw ps3 w/o a blu-ray drive. so i have to convert it to a modded pkg file then data transfer
