Ok, just to let everyone know about this I have just tryed it and these are some of the facts about it you should all know.

1.This is like a zone edit it is only for your ps3 nobody watching you in the killcam/spectator can see the guns its just looks like the normal spaz-12 and acr

2.People cant pick up the default weapon or gold gun they will just pick up the spaz or acr but it will have no ammo in it if your host

3.People cant see the same as you when they pick it up on your screen it will look like they have the modded weapon BUT ITS JUST ON YOUR SCREEN (Its like laser from gun you see it on all other peoples guns but really its just enabled for you

4.It will show up in the killfeed as a default weapon kill but yet again only on your screen

So at the moment this is not that useful but I am sure it can lead to more.....

it is also very hard to test things online as it is a 10min data transfer and that with only mw2 HDD and a mw2 patch installed

Hope this helps people out but what I really want to see is a tutorial on how you did this XtensionModz.. if you could post a video of what file you modded from the common_mp

as for testing? test it on a backup on your 3.55 then there is no need to data transfer until you have the final thing.

Its the same as custom camo's, just a nice thing to have not for anything else tbh...

well along time ago when i was playing on the 1.13 patch of mw2 i saw a guy with a gold deagle and i could pick it up it was in private match. no joke

The common_mp.ff can be edited just like the patch_mp.ff. Its been edited for a long time in the xbox scene. Its just never been edited on PS3 since we(well I) never knew you could run HDD copies of it. Also all fastfiles have .zone's. The zone is the file that holds all the data in a fastfile. It has stuff like rawfiles(.gsc, .cfg, .arena, etc.) and images, weapons, sounds, and about 30 or more other types of files(known as assets). The zone is compressed, then placed after the header in a fastfile. You can use the command line "offzip -a -z -15 -1 <input> ./ 0", where <input> would be the name of your fastfile, to extract the .zone from it.

And that's why I don't get why people are so confused by it...I only tried it after I saw Craig's Xbox vid...

haha that's not what the weapon table is for. .csv's are used for ui purposes and dvars for maps and junk...

and if removed it will cause errors as far as i know, even replacing them will do exactly the same (you may already know this)
