You could try pirate bay. I got skyrim, Fallout 3, and Fallout NV from there. Just make sure to look at the comments because I saw one where people were saying it was tracked (A mw2 one) (Maybe it was mw3 I dont remember)

you could just buy it off steam then download IW4M and mod it that way. thats what ive done

Why dont you just test on your 3.55?
