does the 3.55 need to be jailbroken? and does my other ps3 need to be as well? its on 4.21. I dont understand what data transfering is? let me know if u got a good guide to hosting

You need a 3.55 ps3, and yes it needs to be jailbroken. But the other ps3 doesn't need to be. That's how you get online, you put all the mods on your 3.55 ps3 and then you data transfer from the 3.55 over to the 4.xx. You do this by ethernet cable connected at the back of both ps3s, and going into system settings on both ps3s and selecting "data transfer utility" and then follow the on-screen instructions and that's it. It's really easy..

ok Thats pretty easy now how would i get patches from pc to ps3 that has 3.55

Yes, you need
-3.55 jb
-Ethernet cable
-4.xx ps3
-Usb (any type i think)
-comingine file manager or
-Black box and filla zilla
then put your patches on your jb ps3, look on youtube for tuts, then on your jb ps3 go to system settings and at the bottom itll say data transfer, choose "from this ps3 to other ps3" on your jb then do the same for your 4.xx but click "from other ps3 to this ps3", then you are finished... you can experiment with all your patches and shit.

Ok what you need is 2 ps3"s one on 3.55 it has to be jailbroken so you can run home brew.
And one on the latest firmware. Aka 4.21
Also a usb stick with pkg files such as file manager on the usb.
And last a either net cable.

Now to pit a patch on you need to put your usb stick in your 3.55 install the pkg. FTP black box or comigine.

Now for black box you need a comp
For comigine you need a usb.

Ok now find a patch you want put it on your usb make sure it is named patch_mp.ff

Now put the usb back in the ps3 and open up comigine

Ok on left find usb_hd00>patch_mp.ff ok now leave that alone make sure your hovering over it.

Now on right do this Dev_hd00>game>blus30377>usirdr>patch_mp.ff

Ok now that hovering over both patch_mp.ff"s go to left press select then circle ok your done the patch is on.

Now turn on your 4.21 ps3 stick in the either net cable to both ps3"s turn the internet off on both ps3"s now go to data transfer utility on both ps3"s on your 3.55 click the top one on your 4.21 click the bottom one you have to click them both at the same time. Then press yes it will transfer the patch over. Recover your acc their you go.
