(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); ok let me start by saying that i have been trying 2 find out how 2 do this 4 2 days now and i have been searching the forums. i use 2 host lobbys a while back specifically for a small group of friends then we stopped playing the game. now we decided to play it again and me being the only one with a 3.55 cfw ps3 am in charge of hosting. here is the thing now it is patch 1.14 and the old way of hosting isn't working for me anymore.

i tried getting my ofw ps3 2 transfer the patch and then put the moded patch in and transfer back. (didn't work)

i tried deleting the patch from my cfw ps3 and updating it then putting the moded patch and transferring (didn't work)

i tried deleting the patch from my cfw ps3 and then using the pkg the deleting the .self files and putting the .elf ones (didn't work)

now i have to swallow my pride and ask for help. so please help me.

The data transferring method DOES work. Try deleting the game data for MW2 (on your OFW) and reinstalling the 1.14 patch. After that, data transfer your OFW to your CFW. Swap the patch_mp.ff with a modded one for 1.12/1.13/1.14.
Then data transfer back to your OFW PS3. That should work perfectly, otherwise you have brought another factor into this problem.

using that patch and only thing it did was during finding a game instead of having the 50ms< message when searching it had unlocalized something.

i really want to resolve this issue
any ideas as to what else it may be

My only other guesses would be that:
1. The region of the patch is different from that of your disc.
2. The patch you are using uses a different button layout (like tactical, so it won't open).
3. The patch itself.

Have you tried any other patches?
Try using split-screen on your 3.55 and see if it works.

sorry i took so long to respond i found the solution not really the problem i had to install ofw 3.55 again and then reinstall cfw and the reason i took so long was because i was having trouble installing the ofw and some how ended up on ofw 3.01 without ever having that updat file. thank you for trying to help me =) +rep and thx
