Do a barrel roll!
right say you use [obamasu] 1.14 smart patch, then open it up in PS3 Fastfile Editor
then it will say "buttons_default.cfg" "fucntions.cfg" "function_1.cfg" ECT......
what if you extract the ALL the .CFG's from the patch and put them on your usb?
will this not work? just a quick thought what came to my head.
[p.s was just using obamasu's patch as an example]

Or.................... you can just use CP's tut/Method and you wouldn't have to extract anything or use a usb

i find it easier that way.
