First to bypass, all you have to do is set up a proxy with the ip address of patch blocker, and press "start blocking" on patch blocker and then delete the mw2 update from game data, correct? Yesterday I tried this and I joined a bunch of hacked lobbies, but for some reason I was unable to connect to my friend who was trying to host me a hacked cfg lobby. Also I joined a random hacked lobby that gave me some infection mods (instant reload, etc), but when I updated the game to 1.14 it was all gone. So my question is, is it possible to keep these mods on 1.14 without a jailbroken ps3? Sorry if these questions have been answered before, I was having a difficult time finding these answers anywhere.

No, that is absolutely impossible.
Only thinks like unlock all or changed stats stay.
And you can't join people who are on 1.14 if you are on bypass.
Same if you are on 1.14 and you want to join people on bypass, it doesn't work.

Yes but not all of them. Some people use the USB method to use a mod menu and they don't have a jb ps3.
Before this was released, everybody needed a jb ps3 to use menus on 1.14.
But people who mod on bypass have a jb ps3 too, of course.

Sorry I'm still a little confused. So basically to hack 1.14 using USB method you would download a cfg mod and put it on a flash drive, and put that into your ps3. Then you would need to find someone hosting a hacked cfg lobby using bypass?

No.
First of all you need a file called buttons_default.cfg with a mod menu on it.
(Check the Mods and Glitches section here, there are some USB menus)
Put this file on the root of your USB stick and plug it in your PS3.
Then you need an infection to use it but not from someone on bypass, because like I said, things like that don't stay after going on 1.14 again. So you need someone to host this infection on 1.14. When you found someone just activate the infection as usual and have fun with the mod menu, which goes away when you quit MW2.

In the infection code there has to be "exec ../../../dev_usb000/buttons_default.cfg"
