OK, what you do is hold L1. Then when the aiming thing (red dot, iron, acog, etc) is over your enemy, you hold R1 (if it is automatic) or rapidly press R1 (if it is semi-auto). You don't have to hold L1, but I recommend it.
Its basically like adding the "Deep Impact" perk from cod4/5 and a less effective version of "Stopping Power"
Bullet penetration. Like, say shooting through a window and killing someone. Or shooting through a wall and killing the guy. As long as the bullet touches/clips an object and kills him. I'm sure it's that anyway. Hope it helps!
FMJ=deep impact returning as an attachment instead of a perk. it doesnt give any extra bullet damage when shooting someone with an open line of sight. i think the only real use for it is to get extended mags.

The damage stat goes up on the gun when you use it, so I think it might be a minor version of stopping power as well

i definitely will never believe that until the official gun stats are published by a PC-version owner. when using FMJ on the intervention i dont get 1 hit kills any more often than before. you can also test it yourself, i guarantee that if you put FMJ on one class and no FMJ on another class, the gun would take the same exact amount of shots to kill on any given body part. why do you think the extended mag challenge is to get 40 PENETRATION kills?
you have to use bullet penetration to get 40 kills with the FMJ bullets. and it does give a slight power boost regardless of shooting through a wall. it shows when you add it that the damage goes up slightly
