Hey everyone, with all the recent discoveries of the bypass and prestige hack, I decided to attempt to combine all the
confirmed working methods into one giant tutorial thread. I like to state now that I take NO CLAIM OR CREDIT for these hacks
or discoveries! I am merely trying to put everything together. This tutorial will be a compilation of the tutorial on how
to bypass the patch and do the 10th prestige level 1 hack AND the newly discovered choosing the old prestige files to choose what
level you want.

!!!Pre-Setup!!!

>This guide is based off the assumption everyone has the files they want and it is already loaded on their flash drive and their flash drive is plugged into their ps3. I will not go into detail how to transfer files over unless needed to.

>You will need to find the IP from your computer, there are multiple ways, but I am going to state the generic long simple way.
1. Press your start menu on your computer.
2. Go to All Programs.
3. Go to Accessories.
4. Click Command Prompt.
5. Type in > ipconfig <

6. Look for your ip address, and write it down somewhere and save it.

!!BYPASS THE 1.07 PATCH!!

PART I.

1. We will be using a Proxy Program as the base of the bypass technique. You will need to download it from here

2. Start the installation of the proxy program and install it into the default folders, an
example would be, C/Program Files/CF3B5.

NOTE: If you can't run and install the proxy program at first, go to the top of this thread and install the update for
.net framework, it is marked by a (1!)

3. After you install the program properly, go find it in the default folder it was installed it and open it up. It should appear
like this.

4. It will say IP Address and in that section, you put in the IP address you attained from doing the 'IPCONFIG' steps.

5. Click PS3 Mode.

NOTE: From here one, the steps change depending on what you want.

If you just want to do the basic 10th Prestige Level 1, continue on to Part 1A.

If you want to do the more complex step and choose which prestige you want to become, continue on to Part 1B.


Part 1A.

1. Go to your PS3 and scroll and click Network settings.

2. Go to your 'Internet Connection Settings'

3. Start with Custom

NOTE: The next few steps vary a little because some people are connected to the internet either wireless or wired connection.

4. Choose either Wired Connection OR Wireless, depending how you connect to the internet.

5. Select Scan.

6. Choose the access point you usually connect your internet to.
(I didn't take a screen shot due to everyone's being different.)

7. Select the type of security you use for your internet.
(Read number six parentheses.)

8. For IP Address setting, choose automatic.

9. For DHCP Host name, select Do Not Use.

10. DNS Setting, Automatic.

11. MTU, Automatic

12. Proxy Server, USE

13. For the Proxy Server, you input the numbers you attained from doing IPCONFIG and when I told you to write it down and save it.

For port, use 8080.

14. UPnP, Enable.

15. LAST STEP LISTEN CLOSELY. All you have to do is SAVE THE SETTINGS, that's it. DO NOT CLICK TEST CONNECTION.

16. Go back to your ps3 and bring up the PS3.ProxyServer.GUI and click the Replace Files tab and make sure it is all empty FOR NOW.

17. Click the Proxy Setting Tab and click Start.

18. Go back to your ps3 and sign in.

19. After you have signed in, go back to your PC and bring up the PS3.ProxyServer.GUI and click the replace files tab.

20. Click Add and a bar should appear, and on each bar(left and right) you copy this: a0.ww.np.dl.playstation.net:443 and put it on each side

21. You then Repeat step 20 and do it until you have 13 Bars with both sides filled up.

22. Go back to your ps3 and go to the controller icon and scroll down to Saved Game Utility.

23. You shouldn't have anything in there yet, I always deleted mine just to be safe and to make sure the hack works, if someone can confirm that you don't need to delete it, give me a PM or something. Otherwise, delete whatever MW2 save game and player profile.

24. Have it highlighted and press Triangle to bring up the menu on the right and highlight the delete.

25. Delete it and you should have it blank of all MW2 stuff.

26. Plug in your usb flash drive if you didn't already and your ps3 should pick it up.

27. Select and click your usb flash drive and you should see the two files you need to use for the hack.

28. Copy both files by highlighting them and pressing triangle to bring the side menu up, and then click copy.

29. Both files should now be copied and appear under the usb flash drive icon.

30. Then go up to your Game Data Utility and find the MW2 Patch and highlight it and delete it.

NOTE:: And now the fun begins! I will not be able to post screen shots because I am saving it for the choosing the prestige level part. I will do my best to be as descriptive as possible. I WANT YOU TO READ STEPS 31-?? MULTIPLE TIMES BECAUSE IT WILL BE TIMED AND IF YOU DON'T DO IT FAST ENOUGH YOU WILL HAVE TO START FROM STEP 16 TO BE SAFE.

31. Now that everything is all set and you are finally ready to start the 10th prestige level one hack or whatever prestige you wanted, start the game up.

32. Skip through all the introduction and when you come to the adjust brightness/horizontal view/vertical view DONT BOTHER SETTING IT, just move your joystick enough so you can press X and blow right through it.

33. When you come to the offensive scenes, just skip through by saying the you don't want to skip a level and you will not be offended etc etc.

34. When you get to the main menu, go to the multiplayer and click play online and proceed until you are in the lobby.

35. Back out and click splitscreen.

36. Press X and then when it says select offline profile, click load.

37. Load the ERROR FILE FIRST and return to the splitscreen menu.

38. Press X and proceed to the lobby and find barracks and prestige yourself.

39. After you prestige yourself load the PRESTIGE FILE and then go back to the multiplayer menu and click play online

40. After clicking play online, go to the barracks and prestige yourself and you should be 10th prestige level 1!

41. By now, you should be about to get signed off from the network automatically, and THATS OK, when it does that or if you were too fast, just quit the game and re-load your NORMAL INTERNET CONNECTION.

42. Go through the installing of the patch, go back to play online and voila, you did it!.




NOTE:: As stated above, this guide is based upon the assumption you have the proper files needed already in your flash drive and your flash drive is hooked up to your ps3 already. Unless needed, I will not go into detail on how to transfer the files from the internet/download to your flash drive.

Part 1B.
Before I start, I will give a little side to how I will write this part, I will only screen shot the important/confusing parts as I am near the limit in terms of pictures. I will not be redoing hsx and nightsesh's guide, I will just be typing it out in detail a bit. It can be confusing but I will try to make everything as clear as possible. In a nutshell, while I think how to write this, you will have to get the files from nightsesh's thread, which I will try to bring over to this thread, read nightsesh's directions and watch hsx's video and then pretty much do the bypass method minus a couple steps, confusing? Yeah, it was when I first did it, but I will do my best to make it clear.

For this first part, you will need to be in 1.07 or else the data will be corrupt.

1. Download the files you want and copy them into your usb flash drive.

2. Bring your usb flash drive over to your ps3 and copy them over as you would a normal gamesave or follow steps 28-29 of Part 1A.

3. After you have copied both files, proceed to load the game up and go to Multiplayer.

4. Click Play Online and proceed until you get to the main lobby (it will have barracks, create a class, find game, etc.)

5. Back out and go to splitscreen.

6. Press X and load the ERROR File first.

7. After it is done loading, it will give you and error and you just press X.

8. Go back into the splitscreen and the file should already be loaded and you press X to continue into the game lobby.

9. Go to the barracks and go to prestige mode and prestige yourself.

10. You should get another error and just continue on and proceed back into the splitscreen area.

11. Hold down your PS button and click controller settings and change it from 1 to 2.

12. Press the PS button again to return to the splitscreen area and press X and load the PRESTIGE FILE now.

13. You should not get an error.

14. Now, with your controller settings still set on 2, load up the ERROR FILE AGAIN, and proceed through the error and press X to continue onto the splitscreen lobby and start a game(ANY KIND)

15. After you start it and get in, just end the game.

NOTE:: That is all for that part, all we did so far was PREP the normally corrupted prestige files so that we can use it properly when we bypass the update!

16. Now that we prepped ourselves, and you have been following the steps in detail, to complete the hack with the bypass, you will need to follow steps:

1-5 of Part 1
1-21 of Part 1A
30-42 of Part 1A
