(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); OK, as most of you will know, the Model 1887's with Akimbo were one of the most overpowered and overused weapons. However, on the 23rd of December 2009, they got patched (patch 1.07).

The reason it got patched is because people said to Infinity Ward that they were overpowered when used with akimbo. So Infinity Ward made patch 1.07.

What this patch did:
Kept the range SAME when only using one (non-akimbo)
Severely reduced the range when using AKIMBO
Kept the damage the SAME without, and with akimbo

BUT,

If you use Bling Pro, and use Akimbo AND FMJ, the range actually INCREASED, and as the damage stayed the same as before the patch, the Model 1887's have actually got STRONGER, and more effective when used with FMJ and Akimbo

To sum it up
The range is only affected if used only with Akimbo
The damage has been kept the same
The range has been INCREASED if used with Akimbo AND FMJ

The reason I have posted this is because I am fed up with people asking if there's a way to get them back to what they were like.

This is old, I've been using FMJ since the patch, pisses alot of people off though.

It's spelt guide btw and also thanks nice job i aint got round to using these that much rank 54 now hope to get to 60 today. Yes, yes i do headshots looking to get the M21 sniper all my friends have reached 70 now apart from me. It's hard to get a kill with them and thier AKs anyway ill get back to you on this one when i get the guns myself!

Same thing I said in the other thread:
... FMJ doesn't increase range. It also doesn't increase damage.
I don't know why everyone thinks so. All it does is increase bullet penetration (through walls). It's just "deep impact" for MW2.
So, no, FMJ won't magically make the models increase range to how they used to be.
